Evening invitation

A dress code is indicated on an invitation. So, what should you wear?

What to wear:
Smart casual – A meeting with no official programme and without the obligation to wear a suit. Cotton trousers, a classic shirt in white or pale blue and a light sweater wrapped around the shoulders is the perfect outfit for such an occasion. A sand-coloured cotton suit and a pair of Loafers would also suit. Basic requirement is the finest quality of the clothing.

Black Tie – ‘Smoking’ is required. The ‘Smoking’ was invented in English gentlemen smoking clubs at the end of last century. In America it is more commonly known as the Tuxedo.

White Tie – Tail coat is required. This is definitely the king of festive gentlemen's clothing. It is combined with a white and generously cut Piqué waistcoat, a white dress shirt, white bow and black patent-leather shoes.
